Message to Moderator

Dear Moderator,

My chosen brief was to create a music magazines front cover, contents and double page spread. The genre which my magazine represents is "indie rock." I worked alone to plan, construct and evaluate my coursework for AS Media Studies.

I enjoyed the freedom I had whilst creating this magazine as I had full control of what I produced. But, the construction part of this brief was particularly my favourite as it allowed me to express myself and also develop my skills in the programmes Photoshop and Adobe In-Design.

Final double page spread

This is my final double page spread for Encounter magazine.

I have altered my double page spread by adding better quality images to the film strip part of my page. I have also filled in white space on the headline by adding a quote which contains bold words for emphasis. Unfortunately, I couldn't upload any saved files from InDesign. I will upload my final double page spread when I solve the problem with the InDesign file error.

Double Page Spread Alteration

I have altered my double page spread by making the main image of the model in it's natural colour and not black and white. I have also featured a text wrap which is a common convention in magazines. A final difference to my updated magazine is a 'film strip' feature which includes more shots. However, these aren't very good quality as some are behind the scene shots - I will either use shots from my first photoshoot to replace these or I will have another photoshoot with Oceana to provide the different photos needed.

FINAL FRONT COVER

This is the final front cover for my magazine 'Encounter'. I have changed many things and some of the most drastic changes are more features to fill up the white space and a new masthead style.
